About Ben
Ben has had an extensive career in the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation industry over 25 years. Amassing some 40 plus relevant qualifications. From serving with the Army and obtaining his PTI's qualification he has been helping people achieve their potential from a wide variety of backgrounds and starting points. After the Army he joined the prison service and worked in the gymnasiums on the Isle of Sheppy and specialising in injury rehab with the prisoners.
After the leaving the prison service he started his own CrossFit strength and conditioning facility. He began to see the huge variety of movement issues that seemingly healthy adults have and his specialisation started. The bulk of his work was providing coaching on postural correction, neurological activation of inactive muscle groups and corrective exercise to improve the quality of their functional lives.

Then along came Ellice Barr

One of the members asked if Ben could do a fund raising event for her little sister who was born with cerebral palsy spastic diplegia. Ellice Barr. A six year old little girl who used a frame and wheelchair to get around. They were able to raise the funds for her life transforming surgery and rehabilitation. Ellice's parents asked Ben if he could provide the corrective exercises and activation to correctly rehabilitate Ellice and help her walk. 'Of course' he said. It was an honor for him to be asked. It has been the most fulfilling and meaningful work he has ever done. They bonded straight away and she now runs in to see him!

Since then it has snowballed for Ben so he started 'Hope and Strength Therapy' to help more children just like Ellice
